Safety Regulations
In compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 626/94, the University of L'Aquila has established a Structure called PREVENTION AND PROTECTION AREA, which can be consulted regarding safety in the workplace; this Area is located in Via Giovanni Di Vincenzo 16/B, (tel. 0862.432277 and fax no. 0862.431202).
All useful information can also be found on the "home page" of the site http://www.univaq.it/section.php?id=1698 in the SECURITY section.
In the University, particular attention must be paid to research and teaching laboratories, due to the presence of systems, machines, equipment, chemical substances and biological and physical agents that, if not used correctly, can cause damage to people and things.
In any case, in the individual laboratories, it is necessary for the student to constantly refer to his/her Teacher (hereinafter referred to as the Manager, pursuant to the Interministerial Decree n.363 of 05 August 1998), who is required to adequately instruct each student, in relation to the activities that they will be carrying out.
Below are summarised the general prevention and emergency rules, which all students without distinction must scrupulously adhere to.
Please remember that failure to comply with the safety rules entails, in addition to legal sanctions, the adoption of disciplinary measures against those who fail to comply.

Emergency Procedure
In advance, in non-emergency conditions, review the plans prepared, at the time, by the Security Service regarding escape routes, assembly points and other useful information for safety in the place where you are.
In the event of an emergency or alarm, the student must:
- keep calm, because panic is usually the first danger;
- comply with the instructions given by the staff or the procedures established for the specific situation;
- proceed in an orderly manner outside the building or to the nearest safe place, following the shortest route indicated by the appropriate signs and in the posted plans, closing the fire doors; in the event of a fire, do not use the elevators;
